Moon - one of the most beautiful celestial objects visible to the naked eye, and there is no person who is not never seen the moon in the sky. At this time the moon is lost in the dazzling rays of the sun, goes along with it comes along with it at the same time and therefore not visible. Fortunately, it lasts a short time and after two or three days, just after sunset in the blue evening sky will shine just born crescent moon. He quickly leans to the west and soon comes. But the next night, the young moon is visible longer and sickle is not so fragile.

Night after night the Moon rises higher and higher, becoming more fully and quickly lit a portion equals the invisible, not the illuminated half. This phase is called the first quarter. The following night changed our view of the moon. Now it is close to full circle. Some naively believe that the full moon and a thin Month - various celestial bodies and sometimes the sky can be seen both.

The roots of this album goes into the second half of the 80-ies (o-it!). This was a time when I and my friends on the Moscow Planetarium has finished their schools. Our musical group Alrado "virtually ceased to exist, because the Moscow Planetarium, where we more or less creatively based, we also parted and everyone started adult life. Someone went to work, someone went to college. By the principle of the displacement of many music fades into the background, as a thing not very vital, and it seemed to me that this is happening to me - I went to PhysTech and training in this university was incompatible with something else - at least I could not something more productive to do. I have less and less suited to the piano, and if that could write, it turned out dark and brooding. And at the stars I have not looked - there was no time looking at those dull point in the Moscow sky, even when cold and brave the North Wind blew from his shroud of clouds. Of course it was a pity to lose these clear nights, because once the long-awaited starry nights met open_window or creep out with a telescope in a purely field. Now - no telescopes and clean fields - now you're an adult and live in an adult: every day get up at 6 am, because, until 3 o'clock Institute roads, attend lectures, outlines, do all assignments and give in, receive credits, because that if you are thrown, and from the Mathematics and Physics must be driven half like you, you're going into the army, and there certainly will not have any telescopes and pianos ... Yes, that's what I thought at the time, although a secret dream that someday this Northen Wind will blow and out PhysTech and army, and while both have a great sense of standing, I have stolen from myself-as-consciously sat down at the piano in the main audience of the first building of the Institute and thundered throughout the empty room, until the last train from Dolgoprudny-town not begin to threaten to leave for Moscow without me ...

It was written a few songs that are now heard in the album, and certainly among them title piece - "Northen Wind". And along with it - "Memory", "Requiem Dream", "Snowstorm" ... there were others, but now I can not remember them, even their names forgotten. Blue streak of dawn "was written just before the above" four "and so even now lies in the album away from them - is conceptually related songs (when writing a "Northen wind" and the three following it works the first time I realized that I write a lot and fused fabric, in which the order is important and unacceptable parts of their loss).

Last year I had to compose for this canvas logically necessary finale - "Revival of Dream" - and a brand new song in the album, written, as they say, "in our time";)

"Evening" - it was really a song (that is - in fact, is the song) and written by my friend Andrew planetarsky Fesenko (who invented an incredible number of songs "Alrado") and it happened in the 1985-th year - long before the birth of other tracks of the Northern Wind ", but somehow I pulled her to the album. Probably because it is just mentioned the fact that life is not always so, as we wish, and may be because we do not want it hard enough that it would come true in our volition. This song I wrote an entry, slightly altered the harmony and motive, invented Instrumental and rolled his long-long trance-meditative finale. Singing, of course, did not;)

Three songs ("New Course", "Calm Zone", "Against the Wind") in an album sounding between "evening" and "Morning" "Blue streak of dawn, were born recently - this year, and speaking about the issue of the album last year, more I expected something quite different filling this part of the album. But in the end turned out like this and I am very glad. That's better, believe me.
